Smart Fortwo Brabus 450 WideStar

This is one of only three Brabus 450 WideStars built for the UK, a factory-backed conversion of the original Smart city car. The other two went to Gordon Murray and David Coulthard, which gives it a neat link to McLaren's Formula 1 world.

Each car was bought as a standard Smart from a Mercedes-Benz dealer in Belgium, then taken to Brabus in Bottrop for conversion. This one has the SB 1 engine upgrade, Bilstein dampers, disc brakes all round, a wider track, 16-inch front and 17-inch rear Brabus wheels, a remapped paddle-shift gearbox and a free-flow stainless exhaust. The interior was retrimmed in blue perforated leather with silver stitching and Alcantara, plus a carbon steering wheel.

It has had one owner, racing driver Colin Hyams, who ordered it new, and the V5C shows a single keeper. Mileage is just under 50,000, and the service history runs from 1999 to 2022. The dealer reports very good paint and an interior close to new. It comes with two keys and a new MOT.
