This is a very early Singer Nine Tourer, dating from the first year of a model line that ran, with styling tweaks, until 1955. It was a direct rival to the MG T-Series. It uses a lightly tuned 1074cc overhead-cam engine, shared with the Bantam Nine, and a three-speed gearbox. It seats four, and the vinyl hood folds away behind the rear seats.
The engine was overhauled in 2021 by M J Motor Services of Leominster. The work cost almost £4,000 and included re-white metalling. The carburettor was also refreshed with an SU overhaul kit. The engine has covered only a few hundred miles since the rebuild and is still being run in.
The car is finished in light blue over grey, with a navy blue interior that was reupholstered towards the end of 2023. It comes with the invoices for the engine work and a current Swansea V5C. It is registered RN 7457.
