About this car
Chassis 015-R is an early Saleen S7-R, the GT1 racing version of America's first modern supercar. It pairs a 7-litre V8 with a chassis designed by Ray Mallock Ltd and aerodynamics by Phil Frank.
It was delivered new to Graham Nash Motorsport and raced in the 2002 Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours. It then won the 2002 British GT Championship for Ian McKellar and Thomas Erdos, taking multiple poles and finishing first or second in every race but one.
From 2003 to 2006 it ran in FIA GT, ALMS and the Le Mans Endurance Series, at circuits including Spa, Monza, Silverstone, Nurburgring and Imola. After its period career ended in 2006 it was fully restored in 2018 to its 2003 FIA GT livery. Since then it has taken several podiums in historic racing, including the Le Mans Classic, Spa Classic, Estoril Classics and Dix Mille Tours. The page gives no price.
