About this car
The RUF CTR3 is the company's mid-engined successor to the original Yellowbird, built on Porsche 987 Cayman and 997.1 Turbo components and styled with Multimatic to recall a 1960s Le Mans car. Only 29 were made, and this right-hand-drive example, chassis number 008, is finished in Jet Black.
It was delivered new to its first UK owner in April 2010 and upgraded by RUF to full Clubsport specification in 2013. That brought a twin-turbo flat-six rated at 766 bhp, against 691 bhp for a standard car. Power goes to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
Other listed changes include a titanium exhaust box, a gold-leaf-coated dry-sump oil tank, 997 GT3 RSR front control arms and anti-roll bars, a 997 GT2 motorsport clutch and Ohlins adjustable dampers. Inside are carbon racing seats and an alcantara-quilted cabin. The car shows 15,600 miles. The page gives 15,500 miles in its text and 15,600 elsewhere.
