The Silver Seraph was the first Rolls-Royce with a twelve-cylinder engine since the 1939 Phantom III, using a BMW-built 5.4-litre V12. It replaced the Silver Spur in 1998 and shared its platform and bodyshell with the Bentley Arnage, though the Seraph had its own column-mounted gear selector and a traditional dial layout with no rev counter.
This 2001 car has covered 14,600 miles. The dealer says it has done only about 6,000 of those in the last 14 years. It is finished in Silver Tempest with French navy coachlines over an Oatmeal hide interior with navy accents, and it still has its two Rolls-Royce umbrellas and navy lambswool over rugs.
The history file includes old MoT certificates and servicing receipts, with earlier maintenance carried out by Bentley Knutsford. A major service was done in 2020 and another in December 2022. It was bought in 2020 by a collector of low-mileage Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars, who part-exchanged it back to the dealer.
