About this car
The Corniche arrived in 1971 as the coachbuilt successor to the Silver Shadow coupé, with bodywork and interior by Mulliner Park Ward. This 1972 fixed-head coupé uses the 6.75-litre V8, a three-speed automatic gearbox and the hydropneumatic suspension that gave the car its famously smooth ride.
It is finished in Le Mans Blue with white coachlines over black leather, blue carpets and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. It also has air conditioning, power steering, spot lamps and white-wall tyres. The displayed mileage is 34,257.
The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club Construction and Test Records show it was supplied new through Jack Barclay in June 1972 in this colour scheme. Much of the early invoice history is missing. Since 2014, though, the file holds receipts for more than £45,000 of work. Colbrook, a Rolls-Royce specialist, looked after the car from 2014 to 2020, and the selling dealer has maintained it since 2021.
