Rolls-Royce Corniche Drop Head Coupe

This is a Series 1A Corniche drop head coupe, the mid-run cars that took on most of the Series II changes, including the bi-level climate control, a redesigned fascia and seats, revised suspension and twin exhausts, while keeping the earlier chrome-bumper bodywork. The dealer says it is one of only 48 made and the last but one in right-hand drive.\n\nThe odometer reads 24,250 miles. It spent much of its life in Jersey and was supplied new through St Helier Garage as an "extra to quota" car. The first owner kept it until 2011, and it has had four owners in all. The page records a repaint (originally Nutmeg, now blue) and a new beige Everflex hood. Other work covers new front brake discs, accumulator spheres, Avon whitewall tyres, a brake overhaul, a new air-conditioning compressor, rear ride height valves and overhauled carburettors. The dealer puts recent spending at roughly £70,000.\n\nThe car has a 6750cc V8 with a three-speed GM400 automatic. It comes with a history file of bills, MOTs and original Rolls-Royce correspondence, plus the June 2022 issue of Octane that features it. The dealer used it on the RAC Scottish Tour and says it has covered nearly 5,000 trouble-free miles on a Continental tour.
