2023 Porsche Macan GTS

The Macan GTS occupies the sweet spot in Porsche's compact SUV range — more focused than the S, more daily-usable than the Turbo. Its 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 produces 434 bhp and 550 ft-lb of torque, enough to reach 62 mph in 4.3 seconds and push on to a 169 mph top speed. PDK and all-wheel drive manage the performance with the composure you'd expect from a car wearing GTS badging.

This 73-plate car has covered just 15,544 miles under a single owner, putting it well below average for its age. The options list is well-judged: adaptive 18-way electric sports seats, heated seats front and rear, a heated steering wheel and windscreen, panoramic roof, and BOSE surround sound cover the comfort bases. The Carmine Red rev counter dial is a subtle but effective GTS interior cue, while the Exterior Package in body colour and gloss black, privacy glass, and aluminium roof rails in black give the exterior a coherent, darker aesthetic. Power Steering Plus was also specified, sharpening the already-responsive steering further.
