Porsche Boxster Spyder

The 718 Boxster Spyder occupies a particular niche in the Porsche range: it uses the naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six derived from the GT4 rather than the turbocharged four-cylinder found in lesser Boxsters, giving it a character and a soundtrack that set it apart from the rest of the lineup. At 415 bhp, it also outpowers the GTS 4.0 variant. This 2022 example has covered just under 12,000 miles, making it essentially unworn.

The car is finished in Shark Blue — an exclusive metallic reserved for the Spyder — and specified with the optional 7-speed PDK gearbox rather than the standard six-speed manual. The factory options list is comprehensive: Sport Chrono with PDK Sport, BOSE sound system, PDLS adaptive LED headlights, 20-inch Spyder wheels in black, heated seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a switchable sports exhaust, and a reverse camera all feature. The Silver Grey seat belts and contrasting stitching provide a subtle but pleasing interior detail.

The PDK-equipped Spyder is a relatively uncommon combination — most purists opt for the manual — but it delivers noticeably sharper acceleration and is arguably the more versatile choice. With the Sport Chrono package fitted, the launch control and variable throttle maps add further usability. A car that's clearly had light, careful use and arrives with the right options to exploit its performance.
