Porsche Boxster S 70th Anniversary

This is one of ten 986 Boxsters rebuilt by Porsche GB in 2018 as part of a run of 20 restorations marking Porsche's 70th anniversary, and the Boxster's 25th. The car was taken back to bare metal, then rebuilt with a new short engine, Sport suspension, a sports exhaust, new brakes, a rebuilt gearbox and reconditioned climate control.

It is finished in Liquid Metal Metallic, a colour once reserved for the 918 Spyder, with black wheels, mirrors, windscreen surround and side intakes, and discreet '70th' graphics on the front wings. Inside are Porsche-branded cloth seats with crested headrests, a Porsche Classic head unit with satnav, an alloy gear knob and a commemorative bulkhead plaque. The centre console has been deleted.

The odometer reads 103,500 miles, but only about 6,500 have been covered since the restoration at 97,000. Service history is partial, and a service and brake fluid change are planned before sale. It comes with the original commemorative memorabilia, including a restoration folder, paint and fabric swatches, a spare key in a presentation case, and the cherished registration S70BXR.
