Porsche Boxster GTS

The 981 Boxster GTS is the sweet spot of the mid-engined range: the 3.4-litre flat-six gets a power bump over the S, and the car adds a lower, firmer chassis and a proper Alcantara-trimmed cabin. This 2014 car pairs it with PDK, which suits the engine well and keeps the 0-60mph time under five seconds.

The specification is a thoughtful one. It has Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, the 20mm-lower X73 sports suspension, 18-way adaptive sports seats and PDLS+ bi-xenon headlights.
