Porsche 928

This is an early Porsche 928, completed in November 1977 for the 1978 model year and finished in its original Silver Metallic. The Certificate of Production lists it with black leatherette and pinstripe upholstery. It now has black leather with tartan centres and matching tartan door inserts.

The car has been changed from standard in useful ways. It runs a later 4.7-litre V8, a 1983 unit fitted while the car was in the United States, and drives through a five-speed manual gearbox. 928 Spares added European-specification high-lift camshafts and matching intake parts. A January 2021 invoice for £11,095.46 also covers Bilstein B6 dampers, larger front brakes with a new servo, a refurbished steering rack, and new water pump, engine mounts and rear wheel bearings. A further £4,630.85 of work in 2023 covered the alternator, clutch slave cylinder, driveshaft gaiters and an oil service.

The page lists 66,828 km. It reports a full repaint and retrimmed seats during the current ownership, and a service and new battery in October 2026. The MOT runs to October 2027. The dealer notes light stone chips at the nose, a small crack in one rear lamp, some wear to the interior trim and a slightly sagging headlining. The owner recently drove it back from Spain.
