Listed today at Export 56, Cranfield.
The 912 paired the 911's short-wheelbase body with the four-cylinder 1,582cc engine from the 356 SC, a cheaper and lighter way into early Porsche ownership. This 1968 coupe has a five-speed manual gearbox and is described as fully matching numbers.
It was delivered new to Porsche Southwest in San Antonio, Texas, and came to the UK in 1998. It wears its original Light Ivory paint over black leatherette, with Deser Recaro sports seats with Pepita inserts and a Blaupunkt Essen radio.
The dealer reports close to £25,000 spent on a recent light restoration in its own workshop. The car is UK registered and MOT'd, and shows 81,391 miles. It has been marked as sold.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Porsche factory data for the Type 616/36 1.6 flat-four: 90 PS DIN (89 bhp), 185 km/h. Kerb weight left out because the 1968 figure couldn't be confirmed, and only a 0-100 km/h time was published.).
