The 930-generation 911 Turbo Targa is one of the rarest versions of the air-cooled Turbo. This 1989 car comes from the final year of 930 production and has the G50 five-speed manual gearbox. Only 104 Targas with that transmission are reported to have been built, and just 23 of them came to the UK, which makes it scarcer than the UK-market Turbo LE or the Carrera 3.2 Speedster.
Power comes from a turbocharged 3.3-litre air-cooled flat-six producing 300hp, sent to the rear wheels. The odometer reads 8,856 miles, very low for a car of this age. Factory equipment includes a 40% locking differential, heated seats, impact absorbers front and rear, and a Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 46 cassette radio.
Service history is documented by Porsche Centre Glasgow. The most recent visit was in August 2024 at 8,856 miles, covering a front crankshaft oil seal, headlight dimming switch stalk and battery. An earlier service in July 2016 at 8,850 miles included a fuel meter repair, fuel filter, alternator, spark plugs and fluids.
