The 992 Turbo S Lightweight represents a subtly different proposition from the already-exceptional standard Turbo S. The Lightweight Package (£6,809) strips out sound insulation, adds a carbon fibre roof panel, and fits full bucket seats — shifts that trim weight while pushing the character of the car meaningfully towards track-ready intent. This 2021 (71-plate) example in special-order Carmine Red (£1,919) has covered just 4,881 miles, leaving it in an essentially unworn state for a now five-year-old car.

The specification sheet is well-judged rather than merely comprehensive. Beyond the Lightweight Package itself, the Sport Package (£9,839) adds chassis and aerodynamic upgrades, while Burmester High End Surround Sound, Front Axle Lift System, Sports Exhaust in Black, and illuminated carbon door sill guards round out a coherent, driver-focused build. An extended Porsche manufacturer's warranty runs until April 2028, and Paint Protection Film covers the front end — sensible given the special paint finish.

The 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six produces 641 bhp, dispatching 0–62 mph in 2.7 seconds through the 8-speed PDK and AWD system on the way to a 205 mph maximum. What the Lightweight Package genuinely changes is the texture of that performance: the bucket seats locate you with precision, the carbon roof lowers the centre of gravity fractionally, and the overall package feels deliberately composed rather than simply fast. Turbo S Lightweights are rarely offered — this spec combination, in a striking colour and with minimal mileage, is a genuinely unusual find.
