Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera

The 3.0-litre Turbo Carrera was the first road-going 911 Turbo, built from 1975 to 1977 with only 2,819 made worldwide. This left-hand-drive 1976 car was supplied new through Porsche in Pasadena, California, and is finished in Copper Brown Metallic (paint code 443) with a cork leather interior. The dealer believes it to be one of 259 cars in this colour scheme.

It has had five owners. The first kept it for 23 years, after which it went to a second US owner, then to Germany, and was imported to the UK in 2015. The history file is described as complete, with the original service book, brochures, bill of sale and a Porsche certificate of authenticity.

Work includes a bare-metal respray in 2017, documented with over 350 photographs and said to have revealed no rust or accident damage. The interior has been retrimmed in cork leather to the original build sheet. The turbocharger was refurbished in 2021, and the engine was fully rebuilt that October at 75,000 miles at a cost of over £15,000. The car is described as matching numbers and has a four-speed manual gearbox.
