A left-hand drive 2.7-litre 911 Targa with the rare Sportomatic transmission, which Porsche offered from 1967 to 1978 and which dispenses with a clutch pedal while retaining a conventional manual gearbox. This car has been backdated with early-type bumpers and the 'long bonnet' look, and repainted in metallic green with a brown houndstooth interior.
It is being sold as an unfinished project. The engine is reported to have been rebuilt, the K-Jetronic injection overhauled and a new distributor fitted, but the engine needs setting up properly, the brakes need fitting correctly, an oil cooler is required and the electrics need checking. The state of the transmission is unknown, and the dealer feels the sills look slab-sided.
Most of the work was carried out in Portugal and only part of it is invoiced. The car was first sold in Germany and registered in the UK in 1981. It is sold without warranty, and the dealer lists the model year as 1976 while describing it as a 1977 car.
