Porsche 911 SWB

A 1967 short-wheelbase 911 that has avoided a major restoration. It was delivered new to California through P.C. Distributors in December 1966 in special-order Tangerine (R2002) with black leatherette, and the page says the door shuts and A-posts still measure original paint.

The car stayed with its first owner's family before passing to an enthusiast around 2008. That owner repainted it, re-chromed the brightwork, retrimmed the interior and overhauled the brakes, fuel system, starter and alternator. Along the way it gained a period-correct 911 S gearbox and later magnesium crankcases, and the original alloy cases are included in the sale. It was imported to Europe in 2014 and had chassis, brake and axle-bearing work and new heat exchangers in Germany in 2015. It was registered in the UK in July 2017.

A full engine rebuild, at roughly £16,000 by SCS Porsche in Honiton, has just been completed. It has 89,000 miles, a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity, a copy of the Kardex and a German Part II registration document. The original vented chrome wheels and Hella fog lamps have been refitted.
