1990 Porsche 911 Singer Classic 'Sussex Commission'
£899,995
About this car
A singular Singer Vehicle Design commission, the 'Sussex Commission' is a one-off reimagining of a 1990 Porsche 911 (964) executed by Singer's Californian workshop to a specification developed in close dialogue with its UK-based commissioning owner. Finished in a bespoke Attack Grey developed exclusively for this car and drawn from the chalky earth tones of the Sussex landscape, it pairs hand-formed aluminium and carbon fibre bodywork with the familiar 964 silhouette, ducktail spoiler and wide-arch stance that have become Singer's visual signature.
Mechanically, the car runs the 4.0-litre air-cooled flat-six developed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering, producing in excess of 390 bhp through individual throttle bodies and a titanium exhaust. Drive is sent rearward through a Getrag G50 six-speed close-ratio manual — no paddles, no automatic mode. The cabin is trimmed in full-grain leather with a Leather Weave upgrade, Singer Edition Recaro carbon fibre track seats, German Weave/velour carpeting and machined aluminium detailing, with a discreet integrated audio system and iPod connectivity. Brembo brakes, adjustable suspension, a carbon fibre roof, external centre-fill fuel cap with safety cell and nickel-plate rear bumperettes round out the specification.
Showing just 4,375 miles, this is a barely-run example of one of the most thoroughly considered Singer commissions to date. Full commission documentation and provenance file are available, and as a one-off build the specification, paint and story cannot be repeated.
