This is a 1974 Porsche 911 S, built new for the North American market, that has been converted to the look and spirit of the 1972 911 ST competition car. The work was carried out after 2006 by its owner David White in Slovenia, with help from Matjaz Novak, a former Porsche racing engineer.
The car was stripped and the body fitted with Kevlar and carbon panels in place of many steel ones, then refinished in Viper Green. The original engine has gone. In its place is a rebuilt 3.6-litre unit from a 964, with Jenvey throttle bodies and OMEX electronic fuel injection. It drives through a close-ratio G50 gearbox with a quick-shift mechanism and a ZF limited-slip differential, and the brakes and suspension have been upgraded.
The specification is that of a period race car. It has 16-inch Fuchs alloys, an FIA-approved Heigo roll cage, Schroth harnesses, a heated windscreen and bonnet-mounted driving lights. The lightweight interior has Recaro-style Bielstein bucket seats, Alcantara trim and a Momo steering wheel. It is left-hand drive and comes with a V5 registration document and a history file of invoices. Price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Not a Porsche factory model: a specialist-built ST-style backdate on a 1974 911 S. No Porsche figures exist, and the specs depend on the builder.).
