Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight

The Carrera RS 2.7 is the car that set the template for every fast 911 since. Built to homologate Porsche for Group 4 racing, it was produced between September 1972 and July 1973, with 1,580 made. Only 200 of those were Lightweights, the stripped-back M471 specification, and this one is finished in Blood Orange.

Chassis 1528 is described as matching-numbers and was first registered in Germany in 1973. It stayed there for sixteen years before Autofarm imported it to the UK in 1989. Later keepers include Fred Hampton, former President of Porsche Club GB, and collector Michael Chadwick, who owned it for sixteen years from 2000 and had it serviced annually by Porsche main dealers and independent specialists. It passed to a private collector in 2016.

The odometer reads 77,395 km. The car comes with an extensive history file, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche Reading, and the correct tools and handbooks. Factory options include a heated rear window, a 40% locking differential and a fixed rear spoiler. Price is on application.
