Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

The 992-generation Carrera 4S pairs Porsche's 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six with all-wheel drive and the eight-speed PDK, a combination that makes 444 bhp and 530 Nm. This 2019 car is claimed to do 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach 190 mph. The 4S has long been the sensible choice for year-round usability without giving up much in the way of pace, and the traction advantage is considerable on British roads.

This example is finished in white and shows 30,537 miles, a reasonable figure for a car of this age that should leave plenty of life ahead of it. The listing notes heated front seats, two-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors and the Porsche Communication Management system with online navigation and Connect Plus, including Apple CarPlay. These are the everyday comforts that make a 992 easy to live with.

As an early 992 from the first year of production, it benefits from the generation's larger digital-led cabin and wider-bodied stance, while keeping the traditional 911 layout. At £78,950 it sits in a sensible spot for anyone wanting the all-weather Carrera 4S experience without paying for a newer or more heavily optioned car.
