About this car

The Carrera 2.7 RS is the car that set the template for the modern 911 and this is an early example, one of the first 150 built. It carries the M472 Touring specification, with Recaro sports seats, black leather trim, manual windows and no sunroof. It was originally ordered as a lightweight M471 before the order was changed late in production.

It was delivered new in Paris in November 1972 to Belgian industrialist Edmund Bauthier and has had four owners. The second owner, who bought it in 1985, carried out a restoration aimed at preservation, and the car is said to retain its original floors, panels, wings, doors and ducktail. The history file records an engine replacement by SonAuto Porsche in 1978. The car comes with its original service books, toolkit and spare wheel compressor.

The odometer reads 173,786 km. The dealer had the car recommissioned by 2.7 RS specialists Maxted-Page after taking it in during December 2025, including four new period-correct tyres.
