2003 Porsche 911 40th Anniversary
£42,995
About this car
Only 1,963 examples of the 996 40th Anniversary Edition were built, a nod to the year the 911 debuted, and this is number 743. It was offered in 2003 and 2004 only, and every car was painted GT Silver Metallic, a shade previously reserved for the Carrera GT. This one is a 2003 (53-plate) car with 59,382 miles from new.
The 40th Anniversary is a well-judged mix of Carrera 4S and Carrera parts. Its 3.6-litre flat-six makes 345 bhp, 25 bhp more than the standard car, and it is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The suspension is tuned and sits lower, and there are 18-inch Carrera wheels, the wide-body 4S-style air intakes with body-coloured slats, matching sill extensions, Bi-Xenon headlights and an electric sunroof. A switchable sports exhaust is fitted too.
Inside, natural black leather sports seats are heated, and the centre console and seat backs are colour-coded to the body. Other equipment includes a three-spoke leather sports wheel, an onboard computer, air conditioning, Porsche Stability Management and a Bose sound system. The factory options list also includes satellite navigation, and the PCCM Plus head unit adds Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth. The selling dealer previously sold and serviced this car, and it is currently being prepared for sale.
