Porsche 911 2.8 RSR Backdate

This is a 1979 Porsche 911 SC that has been backdated to resemble the 1973 2.8 RSR, rather than an original RSR. The look is built around Apple Green paint, steel front and rear wheel arches, flag mirrors, a ducktail spoiler and 15-inch Fuchs-style wheels, with a genuine Porsche front slam panel.

The mechanical work goes beyond the cosmetics. The engine has been rebuilt with 964 camshafts, PMO carburettors and an XDI electronic ignition with individual coils, plus a twin-in, twin-out stainless exhaust and a front-mounted oil cooler. The gearbox has also been rebuilt and has Wevo linkage and shifter. Bilstein adjustable suspension, an adjustable front anti-roll bar, a strut brace and uprated brakes with braided lines complete the chassis changes.

Inside are Recaro sports seats with green tartan inserts, a black roll cage and a MOMO steering wheel. The car shows 156,000 miles and 13 previous owners, and is listed with a clear HPI check, 12 months' MOT and a six-month warranty.
