Porsche 911 2.2E

The 2.2E sits in the middle of the early 911 range, with mechanical fuel injection and the 2.2-litre flat-six that preceded the 2.4 cars of 1972. This left-hand drive example was built in June 1970 and first supplied to Switzerland, finished in Tangerine over black vinyl, a combination the page says is confirmed by Porsche documentation. The engine and gearbox are both matching numbers.

It came to the UK around 2017, with EU and UK duties paid and a UK registration. A bare-metal restoration followed, with the engine and gearbox removed and rebuilt using genuine Porsche parts. Work also included a full brake system replacement, a new clutch and exhaust, new oil and fuel tanks, and a refurbishment of the S-specification instruments.

Inside are period-style sport seats with Pepita houndstooth centres and salt-and-pepper velour carpets. The odometer reads 13,851 kilometres, and the page describes limited, careful use and appropriate storage in the seven and a half years since the restoration.
