About this car

This 1966 Porsche 911, chassis 303586, has genuine competition history. It was prepared for the Swedish Touring Car Championship by Scania-Vabis, Porsche's Swedish importer, and is described as the first 911 to race in Sweden.

Preparation was thorough. The car was stripped of weight and fitted with wider wheels and tyres, anti-roll bars at both ends and uprated dampers. The engine was balanced and had its valves, camshaft and carburettors adjusted, plus a Carrera 6 exhaust. The page quotes 165 bhp against the standard 130 bhp. It took the 2-litre class under Leif Hansen, including a win at Karlskoga, and later owners kept racing and developing it.

It was built on 28 January 1966 and first registered in Sweden that February as B 70007. It received UK registration DRS 277D in January 2016. It is finished in red with a black interior. No price or mileage is stated.
