Morgan Plus Six

The Morgan Plus Six 1909 Edition marks 115 years of the Morgan Motor Company — founded in Malvern in 1909 — and this 2024 example is one of a limited run produced to commemorate that milestone. Finished in Nürburgring Blue, a shade that works well against the hand-formed aluminium bodywork, it has covered just 8,904 miles from new, making it among the lower-mileage examples you'll find in circulation.

Mechanically it's the standard Plus Six recipe: BMW's B58 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged engine producing 335 bhp, sent rearward through a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox. The CX-Generation bonded aluminium platform — Morgan's move away from the traditional ash frame — gives it a rigidity and refinement the older cars couldn't match, while keeping weight down. The result is 0-62 mph in around 4.2 seconds with a top speed in the region of 166 mph, all delivered with the tactile, pared-back character the brand is known for.

The 1909 Edition specification sets it apart from the standard Plus Six, and at £80,995 through Morgan Silverstone, this is a low-mileage, commemorative-spec example of a hand-built British roadster that has found a credible second life as a genuine driver's car.
