2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
£339,950
About this car
The SLS AMG was the first car engineered entirely in-house by AMG, and this 2011 example shows why it is already treated as a modern classic. Its hand-built 6.2-litre M159 V8 is naturally aspirated and makes 563 bhp, sent to the rear axle through a transaxle-mounted seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. That front-mid layout, long bonnet and Gullwing-inspired upward-opening doors give it a character few contemporary supercars can match.
This car has covered 15,907 miles and is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic over a Black Designo leather interior. It is UK supplied and comes with a comprehensive Mercedes-Benz service history. Options include 19/20-inch AMG five-twin-spoke wheels, the AMG Performance steering wheel, a reversing camera and an Alcantara roof liner. The COMAND system with navigation, bi-xenon headlamps and electrically adjustable memory seats are also fitted.
With a claimed 0-62 mph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 197 mph, the SLS is quick by any standard. Naturally aspirated V8 supercars like this are increasingly rare as the industry moves to turbocharging and electrification, and low-mileage, well-documented cars are the ones collectors look for. It is supplied with a Romans International Platinum Warranty.
