About this car
The AMG GT R represents the most serious iteration of Mercedes-AMG's GT platform from this generation — a car developed extensively at the Nürburgring and fitted with hardware normally reserved for motorsport: rear-wheel steering, active aerodynamics, a widened body, and carbon fibre front wings and roof. This 2017 example in Selenite Grey is among the better-specified cars you'll find, carrying AMG Carbon Fibre Exterior Packs 1 & 2, the full carbon engine bay treatment, ceramic composite brakes, and a full Paint Protection Film wrap over the bodywork. The Burmester audio system and Exclusive Nappa Leather/DINAMICA interior with yellow stitching round out a specification that clearly had no budget constraints at order.
Powered by AMG's hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 577 bhp and 517 ft-lb of torque, drive goes to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The factory figures of 3.6 seconds to 62 mph and a 198 mph top speed are well known, but what they don't convey is how the active rear-axle differential and rear-wheel steering transform the GT R's handling relative to lesser GT variants. At 23,490 miles, this car has been used but not abused, and the service history is exemplary: eight stamps from Mercedes-Benz main dealers, the most recent in August 2025.
Available from the dealer's West Sussex showroom, this is a well-documented, heavily optioned GT R at a point in its ownership cycle where the heavy depreciation has already been absorbed by others — but the mechanical integrity of a fully dealer-serviced example remains intact.
