About this car
The AMG GT Black Series is the sixth instalment of Mercedes-AMG's most extreme lineage, and by most measures the most uncompromising. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 — built by hand, as AMG convention demands — produces 720 bhp and propels the car to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds on the way to a 202 mph ceiling. Those figures were enough to claim the production car lap record at the Nürburgring, and every element of the car's design, from the fixed double rear wing to the aggressively flared carbon bodywork, reflects that single-minded intent.
This 2022 car is finished in Magma Beam Orange, one of the more arresting choices in the Black Series palette, and it has covered just 3,519 miles from new — placing it firmly in the category of barely used. The options list is thorough: AMG carbon fibre bucket seats, the full matte carbon fibre interior package, AMG high-performance ceramic composite brakes, Burmester surround sound, and AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension. Supersprint catless downpipes have been fitted, amplifying the V8's character considerably, with the original exhaust components retained. Paint protection film was applied to the front end and all exterior carbon fibre, preserving the finish from the outset.
As a UK-supplied example with PPF from early in its life, this Black Series has been maintained with long-term ownership in mind. The model has already cemented its status as a modern collectible — the Black Series badge has a consistent track record of appreciating in the hands of discerning keepers, and a low-mileage, well-specified UK car in an eye-catching colour sits at the desirable end of the market.
