2018 McLaren 720S

The 720S arrived in 2017 as McLaren's replacement for the 650S and immediately reset the benchmark for mid-engined supercar performance. This 2018 Performance-spec example is notably well-optioned, with the majority of McLaren's carbon fibre catalogue applied at the factory — three separate Carbon Fibre Exterior Upgrade Packs, plus individual pieces covering the roof, front splitter, diffuser, hood air intake, door mirrors, and door inserts. Combined with the Stealth Pack and matching Stealth Wheel Finish, the result is a car built around a coherent dark, purposeful aesthetic, with red brake calipers providing the only deliberate accent against the blue bodywork.

At just 9,015 miles from new over eight years, this 720S has barely been exercised — an average of around 1,100 miles annually. That level of preservation is reflected in a specification that still reads as factory-fresh, including the less commonly seen Gorilla Glass door upper glazing, heated electric memory seats, and a Vehicle Lift system for real-world usability without the usual ground-clearance anxiety.

The M840T 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 remains one of the most effective engines in the supercar segment — 710 bhp and 770 lb-ft delivered through McLaren's SSG dual-clutch gearbox, with a 2.8-second 0-60 time and a 212 mph top speed. The factory options fitted here represent a significant uplift at point of order, and with mileage this low, the car has essentially been preserved in its delivered state.
