About this car

VP441 isn't just a 675LT — it's the pre-production prototype used to launch the model at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, specified by Anthony Hamilton in the now-iconic combination of MSO Chicane Grey over a McLaren Orange Alcantara and leather interior. That provenance alone distinguishes it from every other 675LT in existence, but the specification stacks further: virtually every carbon fibre upgrade McLaren and MSO could offer has been applied, from the gloss lacquer carbon roof panel and louvres to the full exterior carbon package covering splitters, bumpers, diffuser, skirts, wheel arches, and sill panels. The Clubsport Package with touring-size racing seats, sports exhaust, Track Telemetry, and MSO Rocket Red badging complete a car that was built to make a statement before a single customer example had been delivered.

At 2,683 miles from new, it's barely been used. The entire vehicle is protected by paint protection film, and a comprehensive history file accompanies it. Underneath, the 666 bhp twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 reaches 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and pulls on to a 205 mph maximum — numbers that reflect the focused, stripped-back brief McLaren gave the Longtail programme.

The 675LT was built in strictly limited numbers and sat above the 650S as McLaren's sharpest road car of the era outside the P1. VP441's Geneva Motor Show heritage makes it arguably the most historically significant 675LT in existence — the car that introduced the model to the world, before any customer had taken delivery. For serious collectors, that narrative carries real weight.

Performance

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (McLaren Automotive press release figures for the 675LT Coupé (675PS, 330 km/h). 0-60 and kerb weight are null because McLaren quoted only 0-100 km/h (2.9s) and a 1,230kg dry weight; the 500-unit run applies to the Coupé.).
