2021 McLaren 620R
£170,000
About this car
The McLaren 620R occupies a position unlike anything else on the Sports Series platform — developed directly from the 570S GT4 endurance racer, it's a road-legal race car in the most literal sense. This 2021 car is one of just 225 built worldwide, finished in Onyx Black with a specification that goes well beyond the standard build. The £25,000 R Package is present alongside carbon ceramic brakes, Vehicle Lift, and the Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker audio system — three options alone adding over £31,000 to the factory cost. At 5,258 miles, it's essentially unused.
The MSO additions are extensive: carbon fibre roof, harness bar, extended 620R sill finishers, nano black exhaust finisher, and exterior door inserts in carbon. Inside, the cabin is finished entirely in Carbon Black Alcantara, with carbon fibre super-lightweight racing seats, a matching Alcantara steering wheel with red twelve-o'clock marker, and McLaren orange six-point harnesses. The adjustable carbon rear wing, carbon fibre wheel arches, and GT4-derived motorsport suspension make the GT4 race car connection impossible to miss. The 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces 612 bhp, despatching 0–62 mph in 2.9 seconds via the 7-speed SSG dual-clutch gearbox on its way to 200 mph.
Paint Protection Film covers the entire vehicle, keeping the Onyx Black finish in pristine condition. With production permanently closed at 225 units globally and good examples increasingly scarce, the 620R has consolidated its reputation as the definitive analogue Sports Series McLaren — raw, focused, and now genuinely difficult to replace.
