About this car

The GranSport was the sharper version of Maserati's 4200 Coupe, introduced in 2004 with Frank Stephenson's restyle, firmer suspension with skyhook damping, 19-inch wheels and a carbon-trimmed interior. Power rose from 390 to 400 bhp, and the Cambiocorsa paddle-shift gearbox gained quicker software. Only 376 were sold new in the UK.

This one has an unusual past. It was delivered new in Auckland, New Zealand, in November 2004 in Nero Carbonio with black leather, then sold in 2010 to an enthusiast who split his time between the two countries. It was imported to the UK in 2012, when the speedometer was changed from km to mph. The page says 35,500 miles had already been covered at that point and should be added to the odometer reading, so the mileage needs checking against the history file. The private plate OH54 FEK is included.

Servicing has been carried out by the selling dealer since 2012. A new clutch went in during 2014, followed by a new air-conditioning compressor in 2017, after which the car was stored. It has since been recommissioned with Michelin Pilot PS4 tyres on refurbished wheels, a major service and an MOT. It has had three owners and comes with a comprehensive history file.
