Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo SE

The V8 was the Esprit's final and most potent form. Lotus's own 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged engine arrived in 1996 and gave the Giugiaro-penned, Peter Stevens-refreshed coupe 350 bhp and a 0-62mph time of under five seconds. This 1998 car is the SE specification, with leather trim, air conditioning and the high-mounted rear wing, and carries the updated interior and clutch and gear linkage improvements introduced that year.

It shows 39,600 miles and has had four previous owners, the last of whom kept it for seven years. The finish is Azure Blue metallic over a Magnolia leather interior with Sand carpets. The page describes the car as fully original.

Maintenance since 2018 has been by PJS Sports Cars, and the previous owner is said to have spent over £30,000 on it. Work included a new clutch, replacement aluminium fuel tanks, new brake discs and pads all round and a full set of tyres. The car comes with its original manuals, a file of service invoices and MOT certificates going back almost two decades.
