An early Series I 80-inch from 1949, in the "lights behind the grille" form that marks the first cars off the Solihull line. It was originally supplied through the Ministry of Supply for the British armed forces, then demobbed in April 1961 and registered for private use with a V5.
The page describes an older restoration that has aged into an honest, original-looking state. The body and paintwork show their age, the structure is said to be sound throughout, and the cabin is spartan, with minimal switchgear and gauges. It runs the original 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which is reported to perform well.
For the past 15 years it has sat in a large commercial vehicle collection in North Yorkshire. The dealer says it will be fully serviced in its workshops and fitted with a new set of tyres before sale.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Rover Company published engine figures for the 1.6-litre 80-inch Series I (1948-51); weight, top speed and acceleration left null because the published figures couldn't be confirmed.).
