1978 Lamborghini Silhouette
£149,950
About this car
A remarkably rare 1978 Lamborghini Silhouette V8 — one of just 54 examples ever built and, more significantly, one of only 12 produced in right-hand drive. Finished in Rosso with Campagnolo alloy wheels, this Bertone-designed targa retains the purposeful mid-engine proportions that made it a striking departure from Lamborghini's V12 grand tourers of the period. The removable targa top offered open-air motoring without sacrificing the structural rigidity of a fixed-roof design.
Powered by Lamborghini's transversely-mounted 3.0-litre V8 paired with a manual gearbox, the Silhouette was the spiritual successor to the Urraco and a direct precursor to the Jalpa. With 31,000 miles recorded, this example has seen measured use across its nearly five decades. The Silhouette's rarity eclipses almost every other Lamborghini production model — fewer were made than the Miura, the Countach LP400 Periscopio, or the Reventon.
Priced at £149,950, this is a genuine collector-grade Lamborghini for those who value scarcity and period Italian design over outright performance figures. Right-hand drive examples surface so infrequently that opportunities to acquire one are measured in years, not months.
