1992 Jaguar XJ220

Chassis 33 of just 281 XJ220s built, delivered new on 16th December 1992 to the Belgian Jaguar Importers' private collection where it formed part of a significant factory-connected holding before entering UK ownership in 2015 with only 1,080km recorded. The current indicated 2,000 miles reflects genuinely sparing use over three decades. Finished in Monza Red over Beige leather — a combination that suits the Keith Helfet-penned silhouette better than most — this example has been maintained exclusively by Don Law Sport, the recognised XJ220 specialists, since a comprehensive mechanical recommissioning was carried out in 2016.

The provenance file is unusually complete, running from the original 1990 deposit receipt through to service invoices dated 2024. Period recognition includes a Salon Privé concours win at Blenheim Palace in 2016 against rival 80s and 90s supercars, and a Classic & Sportscar magazine feature in which former Jaguar chief development engineer Alastair McQueen drove the car and judged it to have aged remarkably well. Twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6, 542bhp and a recorded 217mph top speed — still the fastest Jaguar ever put into series production.
