Jaguar MKII 3.8 Manual With Overdrive

A 1962 Jaguar MKII in 3.8-litre form, finished in red over black leather and running on chrome wire wheels. It has a four-speed Moss manual gearbox with overdrive, and the engine has been upgraded well beyond standard.

The car was restored in the mid-2000s, with lead loading, a bare-metal repaint, a full retrim, re-veneered woodwork, a complete rechrome and new wheels. The work is understood to have exceeded 1,000 hours, and the car appeared on the cover of Jaguar World in July 2008. In 2009 the XK engine was rebuilt to Coombs specification, with an E-Type cylinder head, high-compression pistons, larger carburettors, a reground crank and a lightened flywheel.

It spent fifteen years with its last owner, as part of a large collection, and is said to have covered under 5,000 miles since the restoration. In 2021 it had the front suspension overhauled, new brake discs and pads all round, a full set of Avon tyres and tubes, and a new wool headlining. No mileage or registration is given.
