Jaguar F-Pace P550 V8 SVR

The F-PACE SVR is the sort of car that makes little rational sense and plenty of emotional sense: a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 driving all four wheels of a family-sized SUV, with the page quoting 542 bhp, 700 Nm and a 3.8-second 0-60mph time. Top speed is listed at 178 mph, which puts it firmly in performance-saloon territory. Quickshift automatic gearing and the SVR's AWD system keep it usable in all weathers, while a quoted 2,400 kg towing capacity and a large boot retain the practicality of the standard car.

This 2022 (22-plate) example has covered just 17,132 miles, low for its age. It is finished in Eiger Grey, a colour that suits the SVR's understated-but-aggressive stance, and sits on 22-inch forged five split-spoke wheels in Gloss Black with Satin Technical Grey insets. Further options include a fixed panoramic roof and privacy glass.

Inside and out, the specification is well equipped for a car of this type, with premium LED headlights and signature daytime running lights, a 360-degree parking aid, a 3D surround camera, a rear camera and Android Auto. With the supercharged V8 era drawing to a close, a low-mileage late-run SVR like this is likely to become increasingly sought after.
