This 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 Roadster is the Series 3 car with the 5.3-litre V12 and a manual gearbox. First registered on 8 June 1973, it comes with a documented story: it was bought new by a renowned record producer while he was recording the Eagles' album Desperado.
The first owner had the suspension uprated and other changes made by a well-known period Jaguar specialist. He took the car to Los Angeles, where it stayed for many years before returning to the UK in 2010. It then passed to his son, also a producer, who refinished it in black with a bespoke Hotspur Red leather interior and red Wilton carpets bound in leather.
The dealer bought the car in 2018 and spent about five years restoring it. The work included new stainless steel wire wheels, and the page says the underside is finished to the same standard as the bodywork and interior. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar Series 3 V12 launch figures (5.3-litre, 272 bhp gross). Kerb weight, 0-60 and top speed were left blank because the commonly quoted numbers come from magazine road tests, not from Jaguar.).
£119,950 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
