An early 3.8-litre E-Type Roadster, built in June 1963 and delivered new through Jaguar Cars New York. It left the factory in Carmen Red with grey trim and a black hood, went to its first owner in Inglewood, California, and stayed in the US for 34 years before being registered in the UK in 1997 and restored some twenty-three years ago.
The car has been upgraded for regular touring. A five-speed Getrag gearbox was fitted in 2021, alongside Coopercraft brakes front and rear, Gaz adjustable dampers, electronic ignition and an uprated fuel pump. Work was overseen by Jaguar specialist Ken Jenkins, and the engine has been rebuilt. The current keeper covered around 1,000 miles in seven years of ownership.
The dealer describes the paint as nicely aged rather than show standard, with straight bodywork, good panel gaps, a retrimmed interior and a tidy engine bay. It comes with a file of invoices and paperwork and a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar period factory specification (265 bhp is a gross SAE rating, 150 mph claimed); 0-60 and kerb weight left null because the widely quoted figures come from magazine road tests, not Jaguar.).
£97,995 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
