About this car
The Gordon Keeble GK1 paired Giorgetto Giugiaro's Bertone-drawn coupe body with Chevrolet Corvette V8 power, and far fewer were built than the Aston Martin DB4 it was priced against. This 1964 car has a 327 V8 and a four-speed manual gearbox, and is finished in Wedgewood Blue with a dark blue interior piped in light blue.
It has had three owners from new. The second, a mechanical engineer at ICI, kept it until his death, and his son then owned it until 2014. The history file is extensive, including a notebook of mileages and fuel purchases from that long ownership, and correspondence with marque specialist Ernie Knott from a full restoration in the 1990s.
Changes from standard include rear window vents to reduce misting and reversing lights beside the exhaust exits. It shows 54,124 miles, and the most recent service was in March. The chassis number is C22/F1004RD.
