The Skyliner is the Ford with the party trick: a steel roof that folds itself away into the boot at the touch of a switch, giving a convertible from a hardtop. This 1959 Fairlane 500 has the 352 cubic inch V8, the largest engine offered in the model that year, and the period jet-age styling of long chrome side sweeps and tail fins.
It is finished in coral pink over white, with correct three-tone upholstery and bench seats front and rear. The odometer reads 62,000 miles. The car spent its earlier life in southern California, and the dealer notes a high-quality respray at some point.
UK paperwork is a V5C only, and the log book suggests first UK registration was in 2021. The dealer describes the gearbox as smooth and the engine bay as spotless, and says the car starts and runs well.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Layout only (V8, front-engined, RWD, US-built). Engine options (292/332/352 V8) varied, so power, size and weight left null; no confident Ford-published performance figures.).
£46,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
