2007 Ferrari F430
£270,000
About this car
Among the most collectible Ferraris of the past two decades, the F430 with the 6-speed gated manual occupies a position that only strengthens with time. The open-gate transmission was available on the standard Coupe from new but was chosen by a small minority of buyers — the vast majority opting for the F1 paddle-shift unit — which makes finding a manual example at all something of a task, let alone one with 4,816 miles on the clock after nearly two decades. This car is finished in Rosso Corsa over Crema leather with Daytona-style seats, the definitive factory specification for this generation, and carries Scuderia Ferrari shield graphics, 19-inch Challenge-style wheels, and Rosso Corsa-painted brake calipers from the options list.
Provenance is unimpeachable: the car has been in its current ownership since 2008, supported by an essentially complete Ferrari service history concentrated at a single dealership. Paint protection film on the front end was applied during that long custodianship. The 4.3-litre V8 — 479 bhp, 343 ft-lb, 0–62 mph in 4.0 seconds, 196 mph flat out — was one of the last Ferrari V8s built without forced induction and with hydraulic steering, and both of those qualities are now firmly in the rearview mirror of the brand's development trajectory.
What the numbers don't capture is the tactile quality of threading each ratio through that exposed metal gate: it demands attention and rewards precision in a way that no Ferrari produced since replicates. At this mileage, with this history and in this colour, it represents one of the most complete manual F430s available anywhere.
