£389,990
About this car
The 488 Pista was Ferrari's road-legal distillation of its 488 Challenge and GTE racing programmes, and it remains one of the sharpest mid-engined V8 cars the company has built. Its 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 710 bhp and 770 lb-ft, driving the rear wheels through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox. Ferrari quotes 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 211mph. This 2019 example has covered just 8,141 miles.
It is finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nart stripe and a two-tone stripe, contrasted by Giallo Modena brake calipers and a yellow rev counter. The carbon fibre list is extensive: front flaps, side air splitters, engine covers, rear diffuser, front air vents, underdoor covers, inner sill trim and upper tunnel trim. Carbon fibre wheels, a significant factory option that cuts unsprung weight, are fitted too, along with a titanium sports exhaust.
Inside, the car has a carbon fibre monocoque racing seat, Alcantara carpeting, Rosso stitching and a Cavallino stitched onto the headrest. Scuderia Ferrari shields sit on the front wings. Practical options include Apple CarPlay, a navigation system with Bluetooth, front and rear parking cameras, a sport seat lifter, adaptive front lighting and electrochromic mirrors. A specification with this much carbon and so few miles is a strong one for a Pista.
