The 458 Speciale Aperta occupies a uniquely significant place in modern Ferrari history — the open-top variant of the track-focused 458 Speciale, limited to just 499 examples worldwide, and the last naturally aspirated V8 special-series Ferrari before the turbocharged era began. This 2015 UK-supplied example is finished in the rare 'Rosso Formula 1 2007' special order paint, a historically loaded shade tied to Ferrari's 2007 Formula 1 season, over a Nero Alcantara and Rosso 3D Fabric interior. At just 210 miles from new, the car is essentially unworn.

The factory options specification is extraordinary in both breadth and quality. Carbon fibre features throughout — racing seats, front flaps, engine covers, outer B-post trim, air vents, side holders, and wheels cup — accompanied by titanium exhaust pipes, 20-inch forged wheels, and a Blu Nart racing stripe. Inside, the Alcantara treatment extends to the headliner and wheel arches, with Scuderia Ferrari shields, Filo Speciale Rosso stitching, and a yellow rev counter reinforcing the car's racing character. Carbon ceramic brakes, SCM-E magnetorheological suspension, and Side Slip Angle Control complete a mechanical package that was already benchmark-setting among road cars of its era.

The 4.5-litre V8 produces 600 bhp, revs to 9,000 rpm, and delivers the kind of immediate, linear throttle response that turbocharged engines fundamentally cannot replicate. The 0–62 mph time of 3.0 seconds and 203 mph top speed speak to the performance, but the character of how it achieves those numbers is the real point. With fewer than 500 examples made globally, a near-zero mileage, and a colour and options combination that few would have specified better, this is a car built to be held rather than driven.
