About this car
A 1965 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 Series 1 with extraordinary provenance — believed to be one of just 44 right-hand-drive UK-supplied examples, finished in a unique 'Burt Blue' metallic commissioned by its first owner, the racing driver Patsy Burt, to match her competition cars. The colour was applied at the Maranello factory, making this a genuine one-of-one specification. Burt collected the car personally from Ferrari before driving it home to the UK, a journey documented in the comprehensive history file alongside the original 1965 invoice.
The car underwent a complete nut-and-bolt restoration in 2018 at a reported cost of around £380,000, covering paintwork, engine, interior and brightwork. Since completion it has covered just 1,104 miles, with 88,500 miles recorded prior to the rebuild. The specification includes Borrani wire wheels, Connolly Grigio leather, Veglia instruments, a wooden-rimmed steering wheel, electric windows and Dunlop servo-assisted disc brakes — all correct for a well-optioned Series 1 car with its distinctive quad-headlight arrangement.
Provenance is well documented through multiple concours appearances, including a class win at Avisford Park in 1981, and features in Supercar Classics (1984) and Thoroughbred and Classic Cars (1996). With perhaps only 26 right-hand-drive UK cars surviving un-rebodied, and this being the sole example in Burt Blue, it represents a genuinely rare and historically significant 330GT.
