About this car
The Facel Vega HK500 paired French coachbuilt style with Chrysler V8 power, and was the quickest and most expensive car the Paris firm built in its late-1950s heyday. Only 490 were made, and Stirling Moss famously used one as his everyday transport. This example, KFF 560, was first registered on 16 March 1959.
The page describes about five years of systematic improvement and dry storage. A history file records around £30,000 of work by the previous owner, covering a thorough body restoration and major mechanical recommissioning. Bodywork and paint were handled by A&B Auto Paint and Panel Repairs, mechanical and electrical work by R G Moore Services using parts sourced from Amicale Facel Holland, and the interior trim by A.B. Moore.
Before that it spent many years in a private family collection in the South West of England, then moved to another collection where it was dry stored. The price is listed as offers invited, and no mileage is given.
